A Good Leader

Posted by drolgh8 at 12:30 PM on February 25, 2010 Comments comments (3)

Hello folks!  Thanks for your support of this website (even though I get very few comments from people).  First of all, I'd like to say that I will never buy the excuse that someone is too busy to contact me, especially when I find out that they make time for other things.  I wish people I know would be honest with me and just say they don't care about me and my attempt to reach out.  Sure, of course I'll be hurt but I'll eventually get over it and appreciate your courage for being honest.  Anyway, there are great things happening to me and great potential for great success in the near future.  But that is not what this blog is all about.  What this blog is about is what kind of a person I find to be a good leader...

I'm not going to drone on and on about all the qualities of a good leader but I will mention a few, key, important factors.  First, the person has to admit to making mistakes from time to time.  It is important to be sure of oneself and have confidence but to be bullheaded and carry oneself with the attitude 'I can do no wrong' is a turn off to me as far as what I feel good leadership is.  Next, the person has to care about the people he/she leads.  They have to recognize that the people they lead are not mindless sheep and can actually teach them a thing or two, having faith in those they lead is another important quality.  They have to sincerely care about the people who hold them in high regard.  Next, my last quality of good leadership but not really the last, is carefully thinking about the consequences of each decision as much as possible.  Granted, there are situations where one has to make a quick choice but those moments are not as many as the moments when we do have time to think about the consequences of our actions.  That's it folks!  Have a great day!

Dedication to my "Friends"

Posted by drolgh8 at 03:36 PM on January 31, 2010 Comments comments (4)

Hello to all of you who read these blogs and visit my website, even though you are only few, maybe even two!

Anyway, I just wanted to give thanks and praise to all those people whom I call "my friends", that is, people who have supported me, did good things for me, offered me good comments on my talents, who want to be friends with me, who desire to party with me, who want to work with me, who would truly miss me if I wasn't around.  This blog is not about "Family" so any family members reading this, keep in mind, I'm focusing on friends.

You all are blessed to have me as a friend since I know what it means to be a friend.  I know I'm not free from making mistakes and I'm certainly not perfect, I know this 100%.  I do the best I can to make others happy and bring something wonderful into their little worlds so they can feel better about life and themselves.  I use to be a negative person, always feeding off of my negativity or others.  I used to be wrapped up inside myself, not caring about who was out there in the world around me.  I used to think I knew everything (Glad I grew out of that nonsense) now I realize I will always have a lot to learn until the day I get disconnected from this reality.

Folks who read this, if you know you are my friend, then you are the ones who stuck by me when I was sick in the hospital, were there for me when I was lonely, thanked me for the wonderful things I've done for you, cared about me when I wasn't mentally well, and appreciated all the gifts and experiences I've given you.  When I tried to reach out to you, you didn't use the excuse "Oh I'm too busy because I have kids or my job ,blah-blah", you still made an effort to call or email me because I am your friend.  No matter how busy we get in our lives, we always MAKE time for the things and people who are important to us.  GODBLESS all of you who I call my friends, you know who you are.  Believe it or not folks, some people think I'm an asshole yet I've done nothing to them to bring them harm or hurt.  I've tried so hard in my life but you can't please everybody and I'm only focusing my energy on people who genuinely give a shit about me.  One day, mark my words, I will be successful.  When I reach that zenith of success, I will remember those who gave a damn to support me and my success will be their success, understand?  Take care everybody!  The following is a list of people I'd like to thank and wish well:

Emmanuel Garcia Berrios and your family

John Pfeifer and Nao-chan

Paul Jenkins and your family

Dan Davis and your family

Jason Biggs and your family

Alton Reed

Peter Mantow

Joshua Daugherty and your family

You all are number one in my book of people whom I think are awesome!!!  Keep it up!

Religion is a Personal Matter

Posted by drolgh8 at 08:28 AM on January 08, 2010 Comments comments (3)

Religions that tie in with the political, are based on the beliefs of a wrathful God, have a clergy or priesthood, shun information from the public, cloud and distort the truth of our world history, instill ignorance in the general population, force beliefs and doctrines upon the public, use dogma as a way to promote fear to keep the general population controlled, promote wars in their favor, and murder people who don't believe as they, are religions that can go straight to hell in my opinion.

Folks, as an entire species living on a world we all share, we've been lied to about our history.  The Bible is not based on factual events.  I believe the Bible is a distortion of the truth.  I believe wars are unnecessary and that human beings lived in societies, communities, and nations of peace before the advent of war.  I believe religion is a personal matter and I'll be damned before any so-called authority is going to force me to believe what I choose not to.

You see folks, the reason why it's so frustrating and abominable that governments and politicized religions feel that they can tell us what to think, what we can and cannot put in our mouths, what can and cannot see on TV or read in books or wear on our backs, is because governments and religious leaders worldwide are out of touch with the people they govern.  As a non-practicing catholic, I've embraced other religious or spiritual concepts from other cultures that I find to be more acurate and make more sense.  When I was a full-fledged catholic (only because I was forced), there came a time when I felt that the Pope didn't really care about me as a human being.  I know there's a lot of catholics that want to reach him and he doesn't have time for all.  But it's all the same folks, he's out of touch regardless.  That's why, I believe religion should be a personal matter for everyone.  Each person should be able to choose what beliefs they want to pursue and should be able to choose if they want to be social or private about it.

I really don't think the devil exists and heaven and hell are questionable places.  Anyone can have a heaven on earth if they learn to be positive minded and work towards goals that make them happy without hurting other people in the process.  I believe hell is not a place of eternal suffering but a condition we put ourselves in that comes in the form of Karma when ever we do evil to others.  This revolving punishment can hit us three times worse than the evil we committed and can come at us quick or in the next lifetime.  Folks, if there is anything eternal about that is if we don't learn our lessons and keep repeating the same mistakes, we're going to be repeatedly punished!  That is the HELL I believe in!

To view God as wrathful is to put a human face on God and deem God as petty or able to lose self-control.  I believe that GOD is above all that nonsense and it is we as human beings that are petty and are wrathful when things don't go our way.  GOD is GOD and beyond anything we humans can understand and interpret.  But the GOD I choose to believe in is one of everlasting forgiveness and love, who smiles upon those who live and work in this world towards goals to not cause unnecessary suffering to other human beings.  Because, the bottom line is, folks, that is the only EVIL that exists in the world.

Do me a favor folks, try to keep an open mind but look up an author by the name of Ann Moura.  Read one of her books or thumb through it.  If you're a person who's so fearful of seeing a different perspective and it ruins what you believe in then don't bother, continue living in your cloud of ignorance.  The real goal is to create a world free of fear, hatred, lust, greed, envy, violence, maliciousness, judgement, hypocrisy, torture, starvation, and just plain ole' unnecessary suffering.

I went to see a Doctor in Syracuse NY the other day.  I asked him, "Do you believe that the only EVIL that exists out in the world is unnecessary suffering?"  You want to know what his response was,

"No I don't--I believe that there are other kinds of evil out there in the world."

Ridiculous notion because ALL EVIL results with unnecessary suffering.  Maybe if you all would take a closer look at these "politicized relgions" out there in the world (you know which ones I'm talking about) and see if they're worth believing in.  IF any religion promotes hatred or to do harm to others than it is a religion I care not to be involved with.  I believe religion is a personal matter and I'm not going to allow any authority on this earth who is out of touch with me because they really don't care about me but rather to keep their control and greed and power over me to force me to believe what they think I should believe.  Who gave them the right?  GOD?  I don't think so.
